One of the oldest Heritage property of the Country running as a hotel, which makes you relive the medieval era in its 27 ALL-SUITES accommodation. Over the centuries the Thakurs of Nimaj refurbished the
palace as per their likes which even today evokes a feeling of awe and reverence and the imposing gates remind you of the chivalrous days. The palace facade carved in red sand stone makes it a distinctive
landmark in the architectural history of India. Many typical Indian Motifs and designs used here have to be seen to be believed which gives the palace a unique flavour.
As you enter 'Loha Pole' the towering gates and pass by the 'Dalwans' (country kin's sit-outs) the touch of royalty is instantly apparent. When you stop in the courtyard (chowk) even a casual glance will
make you appreciate its distinctive architecture.
Guests are given a traditional Palace welcome out side "Dari - Khanna" (a hall with arches which was once the Durbar Hall of the Thakurs, where they greeted dignitaries, met people and carried
out routine orders.) The Indian saying goes 'Atithi Devo Bhava' which means 'A Guest is God'. So we greet you with warmth and garland you with string of marigold, anoint you with 'tikka' (an auspicious
red dot) and perform the 'aarti'. You can then soak in the warmth of Palace ambience with a soothing welcome drink.TARIFF |

Restaurant & Bar |
'Dari-Khanna' - Restaurant: The grand Durbar Hall where ceremonial banquets of the Thakur once took place. A luxurious specialty restaurant serving, an array of lip smacking Marwar Cuisines
waiting to tingle your taste buds and the choice of cuisine leaves you spoilt for choice, cooked in home-style with perfect fine-tuning of spices. One can sit out in the open where hospitality is on
hand to care for the guests.
‘Bara-Dari’ - Open Sit - out: The sit out is above the building line open from all sides with ‘Sigdis’ traditional warmers where delicacies are served on demand. It is a treat to see the sunrise
and sunset from here. Special gala dinners are organized here while the unending stories on history are taking rounds and lurking in the stretches of the palace. The parapets and boundaries are lit up
by oil lamps. Either in the shelter of ‘Bara Dari’ or even in a bigger canopy of stars sip a welcome drink while ‘Dammanis’ serenade you with Rajasthani dance and music, end an idyllic evening with a
splendid barbeque dinner and a grand firework display on the ramparts making it an unforgettable evening of the medieval days.
Private Dinner on Terrace: Dine with your beloved under the canopy of stars in privacy where romance rules supreme on any one of the seven terraces of your choice giving exclusive glimpses
unmatched any where in Rajasthan.
‘Bajot’ Dinner / Darbar Theme: The erstwhile rulers in Marwar dined like this. You are invited in true Indian Style by a ‘Chobdar’ carrying a ‘chhadi’ silver stick giving symbolic authority to
the ‘chobdar’ to act on behalf of the rulers.
You can then head to settle into ‘Gadra-Masand’ comfortable mattresses, cushions and bolsters and eat off a delicious Rajasthani
‘Thali’ (a traditional plate with several delicacies), served on ‘bajots’ low tables by traditionally attired attendants.
Try this traditional experience of eating like a Maharaja on ‘bajots’, unlike buffet, here hospitality is on hands - dishes are brought out to you and served. A wood fired cooking will offer you exclusive
cuisines. Truly a celebration for food lovers.
‘Shingar Chowk’: Grand Gala dinners are organized here, in the heart of the palace. Enjoy a lavish dinner while folk dancers and musicians entertain you. The grand finale is a fire works/documentary display.
‘Dalwan - a - Khas’: An ideal retreat to end the evening over great drinks and good music. While the palace ambience transcend you to a fairy tale world of beautiful princesses and chivalrous princes. |
